  1. Typing the degree symbol (°) depends on your device and operating system. Here are the most common keyboard shortcuts:

    On Windows:
    Alt + 0176
Hold down the Alt key and type 0176 on the numeric keypad (make sure Num Lock is on). Then release Alt.

    Alternatively:
Press Windows key + . (period) to open emoji panel, then type "degree" and select °.

    On Mac:
    Option (⌥) + Shift + 8
Hold down Option and Shift, then press 8.

On Linux (with a compose key):
    Compose key + o + o
Or press Ctrl + Shift + U, release, then type 00B0 and press Enter.

    On Mobile (iOS/Android):
Press and hold the 0 (zero) key, and a small popup with the degree symbol will appear, slide your finger to select it.
