Terrence Howard gave a solid, serious performance as Rhodey in Iron Man, with good chemistry alongside Robert Downey Jr. However, his portrayal was more restrained and lacked the energy that Don Cheadle later brought to the role. He set a strong foundation, but had limited screen time and character depth.
