My tire pressure light is on, but I just filled them. Is something wrong?

  1. If your tire pressure warning light is still on even after you've filled the tires, there could be a few reasons why:

    1. Pressure Still Incorrect
Double-check the pressure in all four tires (and the spare, if your car monitors that too).

Use a reliable tire pressure gauge to compare against the manufacturer's recommended PSI (found on a sticker inside the driver’s door or in the owner's manual).

    2. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Reset Needed
Some vehicles require a manual reset of the TPMS after filling the tires. Check your owner’s manual for the reset procedure.

Often this involves pressing and holding a TPMS button or using the vehicle’s dashboard menu.

    3. Temperature Drop
A significant drop in temperature can lower tire pressure and trigger the light, even if you recently filled them.

Try checking and adjusting the pressure when the tires are cold (before driving).

    4. TPMS Sensor Issue
A faulty TPMS sensor (battery dead or sensor damaged) might cause the light to stay on.

A repair shop can scan the sensors to see if one is malfunctioning.

    5. Slow Leak or Puncture
You might have a slow leak in one of the tires.

Check for embedded nails, cracks, or hissing sounds.
